About Us
Welcome to Living Proof!
We are a group of young professionals committed to living as holy sacrifices to God so that we might prove his saving love through our own service and love in his name (Romans 12:1-21). We try to be living proof of the God we serve--to "walk with God and His family in His ministry to His world."
Upward (Rom. 12:1-2)- God is the focus and he is the reason for our fellowship together, and so times of worship and Bible study are extremely important to us. We meet for weekly Bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:30 where we have in-depth studies of God's word or investigate difficult questions in our lives. We also have monthly devotionals in homes, 'Supper and Singing' where we get together to praise God, and many more opportunities each week to worship in the assembly together.
Outward (Rom. 13:3-8) - There are many service opportunities in our class. We work with the congregation to help the city of Memphis see the Lord and his love. The new 'Mission: Memphis' is a great opportunity for the class. We also have members committed to visiting the widows, to feeding the poor, and to encouraging with cards and calls. We are always seeking for more ways to get involved and to share God's love through evangelism and service.
Inward (Rom. 12:9-21) - Growing together is also important. We have a lot of fun together and each week we get closer to one another. Opening up and praying for each other is a crucial part of our class. We have 'Heart Groups' to get involved in, too! These are groups devoted to fellowship - we meet in another's home and share food and fun together. We have great activities, retreats, and parties together like the Halloween party we hosted for the youth group.
