How Do I Get Involved?
The primary responsibility of the Involvement Ministry is to help those members who want to be involved find a place of meaningful service at the Germantown Church of Christ.
ü Each new member receives a new member’s packet.
o This packet contains information about most of the activities of the Germantown Church of Christ.
o Also included in the packet is a Talent Information Profile that allows the new member to indicate to us where he or she would like to serve. This "TIP" sheet will soon be available on this website.
o This information is supplied to the deacons who are encouraged to use these new members in their ministries.
ü Each new member is also given the opportunity to attend a “Welcome To The Family Class.”
ü Each new member is encouraged to attend a Bible class.
ü Each new member is encouraged to participate in the Heart Group program.
ü Those members who have been at
o They are actively recruited for specific job opportunities.
o They may update their Talent Information Profiles at any time but are encouraged to do so when we update our pictorial directory.
The Involvement Ministry is also a resource for our deacons to help make their ministries as effective as possible.
ü We provide information about possible workers.
ü We provide information regarding available materials, equipment, etc.
ü We promote ministry activities through the bulletins, flyers, e-mails, and the phone tree.
The Involvement Ministry also helps locate and contact potential members from the local community.
ü We promote the Lord’s church in this community through advertising and public relations activities.
ü We provide information to our members about opportunities for service to our community.
ü We provide information to our members about those people who have just moved into our area.
