What Is “Pathway Of Discipleship”?
In 2008, at our annual breakfast in January,
our elders challenged us to focus on the pathway of discipleship.
As the people of God at this place
we are all on a spiritual journey together.
This journey has been described as
“walking with God, and His family, in His ministry, to His world.”
The emphasis on God in each aspect of this statement is intentional.
In order to help each person connect with God, others, ministry, and the world, we are challenging each person to take seriously their journey along the pathway of discipleship
in worship, fellowship, service, and evangelism.
A more detailed discussion of Pathway of Discipleship is presented on the second page of each of the following newsletters:

Together Everyone Accomplishes More
We must never forget that Christ died to save people, not programs. However, the programs of the church are the avenues through which we serve God as a congregation of his people. Research tells us that those members who become meaningfully involved in the life of the congregation are the ones most satisfied with their church home and most likely to remain faithful. Therefore, getting people involved is of the utmost importance. As the involvement minister my primary responsibility is helping all of our members find a meaningful way to serve God at the Germantown Church of Christ. Since each Christian is a part of the body of Christ, it should be obvious that we will grow individually and collectively when “every part does its share” (Ephesians 4:11-16). Together everyone accomplishes more.
